Before firefighters rush into a burning building, they want to know the layout of the structure and how they can move around. Scientists collaborating with the Army Research Laboratory are trying to make that happen by developing teams of tiny robots that could explore and map the inside of a building during a dangerous situation so that humans know what they're charging into.
